The De Tomaso Automobili P900 hypercar, designed exclusively for racing tracks, features an exhaust system that truly embodies a work of engineering art, worthy of display in an art gallery.
Powerful Engine Running on Synthetic Fuel
At the heart of the P900 is a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V12 engine, boasting an incredible 900 horsepower. This power unit was specifically designed by German engineers at Capricorn to operate on eco-friendly synthetic fuel.
Compact and Lightweight V12
De Tomaso claims that the P900's power plant is the smallest and lightest V12 engine ever created, weighing just 220 kg. Incredibly, this engine can rev up to a staggering 12,300 rpm, exceeding the rpm of the iconic V12 in the Gordon Murray T.50 by 200 rpm.
Perfect Power-to-Weight Ratio
Thanks to the use of carbon materials in the frame and body construction, the total weight of the P900 is just 900 kg. Thus, the hypercar boasts a truly perfect power-to-weight ratio of 1:1. The monstrous power of the V12 is transmitted to the rear axle through a durable sequential Xtrac transmission.
Racing Technology and Extreme Exclusivity
According to De Tomaso, the P900's dynamic performance is almost identical to LMP racing prototypes. The car is equipped with an active aerodynamic system for maximum downforce on the track. Due to the use of advanced technologies and exclusive materials, the company plans to produce only 18 units of this hypercar, each priced at 3 million US dollars.
