The most powerful Porsche in history has been unveiled

Porsche has officially unveiled the new Taycan Turbo GT, which has already set several records. One of them is the Nürburgring Nordschleife record among electric sedans. The Turbo GT with the Weissach sports package completed the lap in 7:07.55 minutes, beating the Tesla Model S by 17.6 seconds and the Taycan Turbo S by 26 seconds. Additionally, the new sedan has become the fastest production electric car on the Laguna Seca racetrack in California. On February 23 of this year, Porsche test driver Lars Kern completed the lap in 1:27.87 minutes.

It's easy to identify the "record holder" by its huge rear wing. In the standard configuration, it is adjustable, but with the Weissach package, it is not. The Taycan Turbo GT also features a specially designed front spoiler with aerodynamic plates, a unique front bumper, and standard matrix headlights. LED HD headlights are available as an option.

The color palette includes six colors, including the specially created Violet Sky Metallic and Light Blue Metallic. In addition to the body color, buyers can choose a blue or black logo (matte or glossy).

Inside, there are bucket seats with carbon fiber trim. The front seats are Sport Plus with 18-way adjustments and memory function. With the Weissach package, the sedan comes with a two-seater cabin featuring carbon fiber buckets. The steering wheel, marked at 12 o'clock, is covered in black Race-Tex material.

The sedan is equipped with an electric powertrain producing 789 hp. The Launch Control function boosts it to 1033 hp or 1108 hp depending on the peak power measurement method. The maximum torque is 1340 Nm, making it the most powerful Porsche in the brand's history. The Taycan Turbo GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds, or 2.2 seconds with the Weissach package. The top speed is 290 and 305 km/h respectively. The range is up to 550 km WLTP.

Thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber, the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT is 75 kg lighter than the 750-hp Taycan Turbo S. The new electric sedan features revised active magnetic suspension and lightweight 21.0-inch wheels. The brakes are Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brake (PCCB) with golden calipers.

Pre-orders for the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT have already begun in the US. The initial price tag for the electric sedan is $136,000. Deliveries will start this summer.
