Japanese Suzuki Jimny turns into an 80s rally icon

The Japanese tuning company DAMD, known for its body kits for the Suzuki Jimny, has announced two new packages. These kits will transform your Jimny into rally icons of the 1980s — Renault 5 Turbo and Lancia Delta Integrale. The official debut is scheduled for the Tokyo Auto Salon from January 12 to 14.

The first kit, nicknamed "Little 5," is inspired by the Renault 5 Turbo. It features a new front end with a slim radiator grille, square headlights, and a gray plastic bumper. Traditional black fender flares have been replaced with wider, body-colored ones. Small stickers on the rear fenders mimic the air vents of the Renault 5, complemented by a new spoiler and rear bumper with rectangular lights. Large "Non TURBO" stickers on the doors pay homage to the Renault Turbo style.

The second kit, "Little Δ," draws inspiration from the Lancia Delta Integrale. It gives the Jimny a more aggressive look with a new radiator grille, round headlights, a large roof spoiler, and body-colored bumpers. A black and white racing stripe runs from the front edge of the hood to the rear edge of the roof.

DAMD, in collaboration with OZ Racing, has developed a special rally steering wheel for these kits, offering two wheel options: gray with white stickers and white with red stickers, available at an additional cost.

The new DAMD kits do not include any technical changes. Their cost will likely be announced during the official presentation.
